2002 Itasca Horizon RV with Cat 3126B Engine

All is great with the fuel system. I have not heard of many people installing the AirDog system on the diesel pusher RV units. However, I think it works flawlessly. I have not put an enormous amount of miles on my unit after installation, but a few thousands of miles I have. So far so good.

I also installed a programmer for the Cat 3126B engine…. which is conjunction with the AirDog system has given me more power and ease of mind.

I like the combination a lot.

Pierce Arrow XT Engines with Cat C13

Pierce Arrow XT Engines with Cat C13

The City of Huntington Beach Fire Department has installed six AirDog units onto our Pierce Arrow XT engines with Cat C13 power plants. We were having problems with fuel injectors failing due the amount of heat and significant fuel aeration in the fuel delivery system. Much of the problem was determined to be caused due to the distance between the fuel tank and the transfer pump. We reached out to PureFlow Technologies to see if they had a transfer pump that could be incorporated into the existing system near the fuel tank. They advised me about their AirDog system designed for our exact problem. Since we have installed the AirDog systems, we have had no signs of injector seal issues and no injector failures. In addition to having a quality product, the staff at PureFlow Technologies have been very supportive and are very knowledgeable about today’s fuel delivery systems and their inherent problems with aeration. Thanks to PureFlow Technologies and the AirDog, we feel that we have taken a step in the right direction to solve what has been an industry wide problem that is costing fleets a lot of money and making OEMs null about the issues.

2000 American Eagle 8.3 Cummins Engine

I installed the AirDog system myself on a motorhome. I have noticed a smoother engine idle, improvement in fuel mileage, reduced engine start time, downshift further up on hills than before, and top the hill at higher speeds. I have a tendency to stop at the same fuel stops when repeating our trips from the previous year. I have completed two different trips, both in excess of 1,200 miles. At each stop, I noticed that it was taking fewer gallons to fill. When I returned home, I compared my receipts to the previous year and confirmed this to be correct. Also, crank time when starting the engine has reduced, so it takes less time for the engine to start. Another improvement is hill climbing – on long grades, I have noticed I get further up before the automatic transmission is downshifting to a lower gear and I top the hill at higher speeds. I think it is also important to note that I would not have purchased this system had it not been for the information and assistance provided by your tech support.

Purchased AirDog 12/29/20 and submitted review 5/17/21

This was one of the best, most complete, and easiest to install kits of any type I’ve ever purchased over the years. Keep up the good work.
