The AirDog system was installed in the middle of a cross country run out to Oregon. I hardly made it out of the drive and could tell a HUGE difference in low end throttle response after installation. It pulls much better down low especially. I literally had to learn to back off the throttle a bit when taking off. My hats off to the guys and gals at AirDog for making this happen. They’re a joy to work with and have checked back with us to make sure all has gone well with this system. I can’t recommend this AirDog strongly enough! Well, who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? I have 21 year old Swede with over 2 million miles on a 500 hp Detroit. My truck never ran better! The increased fuel pressure gives me a better throttle response. Engine vibration is minimalized because of less restriction in the delivery system. The fuel is filtered down to 6 microns, which means a better spray pattern for the injectors. If you’re going to keep your truck, then this is the first choice in making your engine perform better. My return on smiles is back!

The AirDog with the Champ II provides the low-end torque that enabled me to properly re-ratio my rear-ends to leverage the engine’s downspeeding capability, giving me almost one mile per gallon fuel efficiency gain. My truck originally came from the factory at 500hp/1650 torque. Now, with the AirDog and Champ II, I have more of each, even with the engine set at 425hp/1550 torque plus re-ratioing the rears to 2.47. More low-end power, increased productivity, more enjoyable to drive, and one mile per gallon fuel savings. The AirDog was the key to putting this truck in its best form ever!

The AirDog works fantastically. Of all the things I’ve added over the years to my trucks, the AirDog has been the largest improvement in performance and potential to increase economy. The very first improvement I’d make with a Volvo/Mack motor.
I have been in the trucking industry for over 20 years and currently operate a 1993 KW with a N14. My runs are coast to coast in Canada at 118,000 lbs and the 48 states loaded at 80,000 lbs with an average mpg of 5.5. (With the AirDog), it now is 6.0 mpg and gained 25 hp. The engine runs smoother and great acceleration! If you enjoy top performance or think you’ve forgotten what performance was, then AirDog is the way to go!
Once making a run on our Dyno, we quickly realized how much he gained by installing the AirDog system. Horsepower went to 569 and torque jumped to a staggering 1888. The customer then left on his first run of 3,000 miles just to return and report more gains regarding the fuel mileage, it now sits at 6.7mpg. So overall improvements after the installation of the AirDog system, he gained 19hp, 77 ft/lbs torque and 0.5 mpg increase!

I usually drive about 125,000 miles annually and use about 29,761 gallons of fuel. After the AirDog was installed, my fuel use dropped to 24,038 gallons! My mpg pulling my Bull Rack before putting the AirDog on was 4.1-4.3, now I get 5.2 and have seen up to 5.7 with no wind and 70-75,000 lbs. Plus, my manifold pressure went from 27 to 33 psi and my exhaust temps dropped from 825 down to 650. The truck puts out less smoke and idles much smoother.
I pull big heavy loads, up to 120,000 pounds, with my C15 Acert. Before AirDog, I was getting 2.3 MPG. With my new AirDog, I’m getting 5.5 MPG loaded heavy and 6.5+ MPG on (80,000 lb) light load. I drive easy, but AirDog has still done wonders for power and fuel economy for my Cat.
Right after installing the AirDog on my 2005 C15, I noticed the power difference compared to before, plus there was a gain of 0.5 mpg on my heavy loads and a full 1.0 mpg with lighter ones. My wife and I are really pleased with the AirDog as we waited a few months before buying it, but wished we would have bought it sooner. It just makes sense as it pays for itself in just a few months.
Right after the AirDog was installed, there was an immediate change in the engine performance – less downshifting, less smoke and overall more power. I had to relearn how to drive it with the extra power and my first tank went from 6.87 to 7.41. Lunch for the AirDog team is on me!
After running another product and not seeing any improvement, I found out about the AirDog. I could not believe the difference and how advanced the product was. Power and longevity of the engine was more important to me than the .3 mpg increase, but the fuel savings is great.
The last three years of operating my 2010 550 hp ISX with a [competitor's product], my average economy was 7.2. I was hoping to have some fuel increase from switching to the AirDog, but couldn’t imagine the actual gains I was going to receive. Idle quality is much smoother, plus the engine makes much more power from idle all the way to red line. The mileage has gone up .6 to .7 as an average and I see 30,000 miles out of a fuel filter. Love this product!
I have seen great fuel mileage improvements as my prior average fuel consumption was in the mid 6’s. My last two tanks were 7.2 and 7.9, which is the most I have ever gotten!

Now after I installed my AirDog, my last 800 mile fill, I got 7.4 MPG. Current fuel mileage is up .4 MPG. I had the truck in a Volvo shop, the shop service manager commented about how smooth the engine sounded. He was quite impressed. I am shifting gears much less now with the AirDog installed.

Honestly, I did not believe that adding the AirDog to my super downsped MACK Anthem would have any noticeable impact… I couldn’t have been more wrong. Improved low RPM performance, increased high RPM boost psi, and increased fuel efficiency… definitely a new weapon in my MPG arsenal.
