1999 Cat 3406E We have been taking my Cat to the dealer for years on a running issue and that entire time no one could fix it. Immediately after (the AirDog) installation, the motor idled better and was more responsive. The very first run I gained .8 mpg and the power gained was amazing. After some time of use, we noticed a loud growling sound that we thought was coming from the (AirDog) unit. We were advised to bypass the AirDog, then send it in for warranty. Purchased Champ II in June 2020 and installed myself on 2002 T-800 Kenworth with Cat C15 engine. Have noticed better throttle response, especially once the fuel got lower in the tanks – it remains constant. After 6 months, I have seen 2/10 of a gallon increase or roughly 4% increase in fuel mileage. I also noticed quite an improvement in power. 2002 KW 6NZ Cat Last month (July 2020), I got an increase of about 18% but that can be due to tailwinds, light loads, or a multitude of things, but since I keep good track of my mileage and like to average it over a six month period or so, I’ll let you know in December just how much it has changed. 1986 359 Pete with 1994 3406C Mechanical Cat I usually drive about 125,000 miles annually and use about 29,761 gallons of fuel. After the AirDog was installed, my fuel use dropped to 24,038 gallons! My mpg pulling my Bull Rack before putting the AirDog on was 4.1-4.3, now I get 5.2 and have seen up to 5.7 with no wind and 70-75,000 lbs. Plus, my manifold pressure went from 27 to 33 psi and my exhaust temps dropped from 825 down to 650. The truck puts out less smoke and idles much smoother. Zack W. Murchison, TX
