This AirDog® Champ II™ is a spin-on, high-pressure fuel air separator, specific to Detroit Series 60 engines (1987-2009) with secondary filters. This system provides the same benefits as the Champ™, by removing entrained air and vapor before entering the fuel injection system, as well as offering a simple spin-on installation, mounting easily to the OEM secondary fuel filter head. This system includes: (1) AirDog® Champ II™, (1) AirDog® FF200-MG-6 Fuel Filter, (1) Return Line Hose Assembly, and (1) Detroit Series 60 Engine-Specific Fitting Kit (all fittings needed in most cases).
IMPORTANT: Not all Detroit Series 60 engines are equipped with an engine mounted secondary filter head. If this is the case, one can be added to accommodate the Champ II™ spin-on or you can use the AirDog® Champ™ frame mount unit (Part # A6HSDE630 for 1987-2002 Detroit Series 60 engines OR Part # A6HSDE640 for 2003-2009 Detroit Series 60 engines).
Optional Performance Upgrade Kit – Detroit Diesel Series 60® Secondary Fuel System Upgrade Kit (Part # UPG-DEFS) for maximum performance of Detroit Series 60 (1987-2009) engines.
NOT INCLUDED: Filter Base and Head (Sold Separately)
The Champ II™ uses the AirDog® FF200-MG-6 or equivalent fuel filter. For maximum performance, use of the FF200-MG-6 is recommended, as the filter was designed for use with the AirDog®, Champ™, and Champ II™ systems.
